My role at ThisWorks 

Hello, I’m Sebastiaan, Financial Director of ThisWorks.

I joined Works Group in early 2025 and am responsible for supporting the financial direction and continued development of the organisation. My role involves analysing performance, identifying connections across the business and helping translate financial information into well-considered decisions.

After completing my Master’s degree in Business Administration, I began my career in Corporate Finance at a mid-sized accountancy firm. In 2018, I joined Catapult, where I gained extensive experience with business acquisitions, valuations and financing processes across a wide range of industries.

Working with so many different organisations gave me the opportunity to look behind the scenes of different business models. It taught me how companies grow, where challenges can arise and how financial, commercial and operational decisions influence one another.

At ThisWorks I use this experience to look beyond individual figures and understand the wider story behind the company’s performance. I enjoy analyzing complex information, recognizing patterns and helping create the financial foundation needed to support responsible growth.

Continuous development is also important to me. I closely follow current economic and business developments and regularly take courses to broaden my knowledge. This is partly connected to the ongoing education requirements of my Register Valuator certification, but it is also driven by my genuine interest in learning and understanding new subjects.

Together with my colleagues, I look forward to helping Works Group continue to grow while developing further, both professionally and personally.
