Chief Commercial Officer

Bringing a decade of international payroll and employment experience to the practical challenges of hiring and expanding across borders.

“International employment is rarely a standard process. Every company, employee and country brings a different set of considerations. The real value lies in understanding how employment law, payroll and business needs fit together—and turning that knowledge into a solution that works in practice.”

Gino Peters, CCO of ThisWorks

My role at ThisWorks

Hello, I’m Gino Peters, CCO and co-owner of ThisWorks.

I have worked in international payroll and employment for around ten years. Over that time, I have gained extensive experience with the practical, legal and financial considerations involved when companies employ people across borders.

International employment is about much more than running payroll or issuing an employment contract. Each situation can involve local labour legislation, employer obligations, immigration requirements, taxation and country-specific employment practices. My role is to look at the complete picture, identify potential challenges early and help translate complex requirements into a structure that works for both the employer and the employee.

Staying informed is an important part of my work. Employment legislation and payroll requirements continue to evolve, so I closely follow relevant developments and work with our local teams to understand what these changes mean in practice. I also share this knowledge internally, helping our consultants build the confidence and expertise needed to support different employment situations.

As CCO and co-owner, I am involved in shaping the direction of ThisWorks and developing the way we support international companies. I believe strong EOR services depend on a combination of specialist knowledge, local expertise and a genuine understanding of the people and organisations involved.

For me, the most interesting part of the work is finding the right balance between compliance and practicality. A solution needs to meet local requirements, but it must also make sense for the company, fit the employee’s circumstances and remain workable in the long term.

More about me

Outside of work, family plays an important role in my life. I enjoy spending time with my two children and our dog, whether we are at home or out together.

As a true Bourgondisch from Brabant, I also appreciate good food, good company and long evenings with friends and family. Football is another long-standing passion of mine. You can regularly find me on the pitch, either playing or coaching others.

That combination of family time, sport and socialising helps me switch off from work—although I am rarely far away from an interesting conversation or a new idea.
