My role at ThisWorks 

Hello, I’m Imke van Rengs, Team Lead Netherlands at ThisWorks.

I lead our Netherlands HR team and help coordinate the day-to-day HR support we provide to employees and clients. My role combines practical HR work with team coordination, problem-solving and making sure that information is communicated clearly.

I originally joined ThisWorks as a Junior HR Consultant. Since then, I have developed my knowledge of Dutch employment processes and progressed into the role of Team Lead Netherlands. Having worked directly with employees and clients gives me a strong understanding of the questions that can arise throughout onboarding and employment.

What I enjoy most about my work is the variety. Every situation is different, and there is always something new to learn or solve. I get energy from working together with the team, sharing knowledge and finding practical solutions that help people move forward.

A personal approach is especially important to me. HR processes can sometimes feel formal or complicated, particularly for employees working in a new country. I therefore aim to make communication clear, accessible and supportive, while ensuring that the necessary processes are handled carefully.
