My role at ThisWorks
Hello, I’m Janneke Vossen, Manager Payroll & Back-office at ThisWorks.
I lead our payroll team and oversee payroll and back-office operations across the countries in which ThisWorks employs people. Together with the team, I help ensure that employee information is processed correctly, payroll deadlines are met and clients receive accurate and timely information.
My career at ThisWorks began within our finance and administrative operations. As my knowledge and responsibilities developed, I progressed into a management role covering payroll and back-office processes across the organisation. This has given me a detailed understanding of both the daily work behind payroll and the broader coordination required to support international employment.
Payroll brings together employee administration, taxation, employment conditions, client invoicing and strict monthly deadlines. I enjoy creating structure within these processes, establishing clear procedures and identifying opportunities to make our work more accurate and efficient.
What I value most about my role is its variety. Every payroll cycle can introduce new employee situations, country-specific requirements or operational questions. Solving these challenges while continuing to improve our internal processes keeps the work both interesting and meaningful.
