My role at ThisWorks 

Hello, I’m Kenneth Derksen, Managing Director of Works Group.

I joined the group in early 2025, bringing a professional background in accounting, finance and mergers and acquisitions. This experience has given me a strong foundation in business strategy, financial decision-making and the factors that support sustainable organisational growth.

As Managing Director, I am involved in setting the direction of the group and ensuring that our different teams and business areas continue to develop together. My role requires me to look at both the bigger picture and the day-to-day realities behind it: how we organise the business, where we invest our time and resources, and how we create an environment in which people can perform well.

Although my career began in finance, my main interest lies in people and HR-related topics. I believe that the development of an organisation is closely connected to the development of its employees. Supporting colleagues in taking ownership, building confidence and expanding their skills is therefore an important part of how I approach leadership.

For me, good leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about asking the right questions, providing clear direction and giving people the space and support they need to grow. My ambition for the coming years is to contribute to the continued development of my colleagues, the organisation and myself.
