My role at ThisWorks
Hello, I’m Marinda Verlinde, a Back Office Assistant at ThisWorks.
In my role, I support the payroll administration for our Employer of Record clients. I help process payroll information, carry out administrative checks and make sure the necessary details are complete and available on time.
Before moving into payroll, I spent more than 20 years working in logistics, mainly in inventory management. This gave me extensive experience in working accurately, maintaining clear records and coordinating processes in which even small details can have a significant impact.
After many years in logistics, I decided to take my career in a new direction and began studying Practical Payroll Administration. Joining ThisWorks has allowed me to apply this knowledge in practice while continuing to develop my understanding of payroll and international employment.
Although logistics and payroll may seem like very different fields, both depend on structure, timing and reliable information. I enjoy bringing that operational mindset into my work and contributing to payroll processes that employees, clients and colleagues can rely on.
More about me
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the theatre with my partner and spending time with our Akita, Taro.
During holidays, we often travel to the Greek islands. I enjoy the combination of relaxing by the sea, exploring new surroundings and visiting historical and cultural sites. It is the perfect balance between slowing down and discovering something new.
