Hi, I’m Samantha Petersen, an HR Consultant at ThisWorks. I joined the team in February 2026 and have spent most of my career working in HR, supporting both businesses and employees across a range of people-related matters. I’m based in South Africa, which gives me a great perspective on working in a global and diverse environment. What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to make a real impact on people’s work experiences. Even though HR can sometimes be complex, I appreciate being part of an industry that helps create structure, fairness, and support within organisations. I also enjoy the international aspect of our work at ThisWorks, as it allows me to learn about different cultures, employment laws, and ways of working. Outside of work, I’m an avid runner and regularly take part in charity events, which is something I’m really passionate about. One of my big personal goals is to complete a Half Ironman in the future. I also love cooking and spending time with animals and in nature. A little recent highlight in my personal life is that I just got engaged, which has been very exciting! I’m always looking to grow, both professionally and personally, and I enjoy being part of a team where I can continue learning and contributing.
