My role at ThisWorks 

Hello, I’m Tanja Beelen, Payroll Consultant at ThisWorks.

I have worked within Works Group since 2019 and joined the ThisWorks team in August 2024. In my current role, I am involved in payroll processing, client invoicing, finance and a wide range of administrative activities that support our day-to-day operations.

My career in the temporary employment and payroll sector began in 2013. Since then, I have worked in several positions, including Flex Consultant, Recruiter and Payroll Consultant. This has given me experience on both sides of the employment process: working directly with employees and clients, as well as handling the administrative and payroll work behind the scenes.

That combination helps me understand how information moves through the organisation and why accuracy at every stage matters. A change communicated during the front-office process can directly affect payroll, invoicing or employee administration later on. Having experience in both areas allows me to recognise these connections and support colleagues across the wider process.

What I enjoy most about my role is the variety. Each payroll period brings different questions, changes and deadlines that need to be handled carefully. I like work that requires precision, flexibility and practical problem-solving, particularly when several administrative processes need to come together at the right moment.
