My role at ThisWorks
Hello, I’m Vahl Carmona, an HR Consultant at ThisWorks.
I began my career in human resources in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resources Management. Before joining ThisWorks, I worked as an HR Generalist, gaining experience across recruitment and selection, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, onboarding and exit management.
Working across so many areas of HR gave me a broad understanding of the employee lifecycle. It also showed me how closely connected different HR processes are, from someone’s first interaction with a company to their final day of employment.
At ThisWorks, I use this experience to support employees and colleagues with day-to-day HR matters. I particularly enjoy helping people find answers to their questions and making processes easier to understand. For me, good HR support means listening carefully, communicating clearly and following through until the issue has been properly addressed.
International employment also gives me the opportunity to continue developing my knowledge. Every employee and situation can bring different requirements, expectations and ways of working. I enjoy learning from this variety and building the skills that allow me to support both employees and the wider team more effectively.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing basketball and exploring the natural landscapes of the Philippines.
I am also passionate about motorcycles and often travel through different provinces on my bike. For me, riding is not only a way to discover new places but also an opportunity to step away from my routine and enjoy the journey itself.
Whether I am on the basketball court or on the road, I enjoy activities that keep me active and bring a sense of adventure to my free time.
